I’m Andrea, a YA speculative author who writes to unload the junk on my soul and connect with readers and other writers. Growing up, I always loved storytelling and reading. Most often, you’d find me under a makeshift tent of blankets, devouring books like Charlotte’s Web and spooky stories from R.L. Stine or pretending to slay monsters in the woods.

Though I was quite academic in school, I pursued art at Penn State University, where I met my future husband in the photography program. We eventually graduated, and with a few dollars in our pockets, we built a wedding and portrait photography business, J and A Photography.

Today, when I’m not writing, reading, running, or photographing high school seniors, I direct middle school plays and volunteer as a youth group leader. My husband and I are proud parents of two bunnies, one crazy dog, and two teenagers, who love to point out when I’m acting cringy.
